Angela Mae Simpson, a vibrant soul whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, passed away in Tucson, Arizona on May 15, 2026, just two days before her 54th birthday. Born on May 17, 1972, in Charlevoix, Michigan, Angela’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for those around her and an unerring kindness that made her a cherished friend and family member.

Angela’s early years saw a move from Michigan to Pensacola, Florida, where she lived until the age of eleven. Following her parents’ divorce, she returned to Michigan to live with her father and brothers. Later, she joined her mother in Arizona. There, she attended Sahuaro High School before her relocating to the west side of Tucson, where she graduated from Pueblo High School. These changes reflected a resilient spirit, one that adapted and thrived in every new place she called home.

Her professional life was just as heartfelt as her personal one. After high school, Angela began her career as a server at The Sagebrush Cantina, where she worked for five years, endearing herself to patrons and coworkers alike with her friendly demeanor. She then joined her mother at SER Jobs for Progress in June 1994, serving as an administrative assistant until September 2019. In this role, she contributed with dedication and grace, supporting the important work that helped others find employment and build better lives.

Angela’s personality shone through her passions and relationships. A huge animal lover, she cared deeply for her three beloved fur children, who were family to her. Her long, curly hair was as much a trademark as her infectious smile — a reminder of the joyful spirit that could brighten any room. She was fun-loving and friendly, making friends wherever life took her. Angela also enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing pool with friends, and had a zest for spicy food that matched her lively character.

Those closest to Angela remember her as generous and thoughtful, a person who constantly put others at ease and demonstrated unwavering kindness. Her presence brought comfort and joy, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.

Angela is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Engebretson; her father, William R. Simpson; her brothers, Joe Simpson and Rusty Simpson; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and, of course, her three cherished fur children. The depth of her relationships serves as a testament to the love she gave and received throughout her life.

As we say goodbye to Angela Mae Simpson, we hold close the image of her vibrant spirit—her laughter, her generosity, and the countless moments of joy she shared. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of kindness and light endures, inspiring those who were fortunate enough to know her. We mourn the loss of a beautiful soul and celebrate the remarkable life she lived, forever imprinting her warmth on our hearts.
