George Bonillas Bernal, age 68, died July 19, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona.
He was born July 18, 1957 in San Manuel, Arizona to Hortencia and Armando Bernal. He was raised in Tucson and graduated from Pueblo High School. George became a driver for various companies and also a bar manager at the Branding Iron on South 12th Avenue.
He was a selfless, kind hearted man who helped anyone he could.
During his earlier years George enjoyed social settings, listening to music and making friends. From High School up until his late 40s he played baseball at all different levels and he was good at it. As George grew older, it was Sunday family dinners, golfing and taking care of his house that he enjoyed.
George was very loved by his family and friends and will be extremely missed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Bernal; parents, Hortencia and Armando Bernal; brother, Armando Bernal, Jr. and lots of tias, tios and dogs all ready to welcome him.
George is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Bernal; children, Jackie Bernal, Michael Bernal (Aarynn); sister, Amalia Maldonado; aunt, Lilly Bonillas Godoy; grandchildren, Rafael Martinez (Adary), Ajarae and Zariyah Navarro; his beloved rescue dog, Sadie Bernal; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rosary, 1:30 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, Memorial Mass to follow at 2:00 PM, St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85701. If you wish to send flowers, please be sure they are delivered between 1:00 and 1:30 PM at the church on the morning of the service.
