Jacob William Brooks passed away on May 31, 2025 he resided in Tucson, Arizona at the time of his passing. Jacob was born in Sierra Vista, Arizona and spent his early years in Bisbee, Arizona.
Jacob Brooks was a man of diligence and pride, known for his unwavering work ethic and craftsmanship. If you look across the foothills of Tucson, chances are you’ll see the homes he painted - each a testament to his dedication and skill, alongside his longtime colleagues at Five Star Painting and James Linnville.
Beyond his work, Jacob was a talented drummer, finding joy and fulfillment playing with the Move City Church praise team - an accomplishment he held close to his heart. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his family, working tirelessly to provide for them. His generosity knew no bounds; whether offering spare change, a place to stay, or simply a listening ear, Jacob was never shy in extending a helping hand.
In his later years, he spent much of his time sharing the word of God, offering encouragement to those suffering from mental illness, and walking the desert in search of his own peace. His faith guided him, and his integrity defined him - he lived honestly, never lied nor stole, and held fast to being a good man in both his actions and his beliefs.
Jacob is survived by his father, David Raymond Brooks; his mothers, Linda Savala and Colleen Brooks; his sons, Skyler Brooks, his unborn child, and Cameron Brooks; his daughters, Sari Brooks and Jazmine Callison; his granddaughters, Aria, Zyla, and Carly; and his grandson, Ayden, born at the same time Jacob passed. He also leaves behind his nine siblings: Justin Brooks, Dena, Sylinda, Felisha, Jolene, Jessica, Rhett, and Katie, as well as his best friend Harley Rogers.
Jacob taught me everything I know. He gave me the greatest gift of all - the ability to raise our children, sacrificing his days from sunrise to sunset so I could be home with them for 15 years. His absence will be felt in every moment moving forward, but his love remains with me always. He was deeply cherished by everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
