Heaven welcomed its newest angel on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and called on home our mother Laura Lynne Capri. Laura touched the lives of countless people with her kindness, compassion, strength, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace, resting in the loving embrace of those who went before her.

Laura is preceded in death by her mother, Artemisa Lopez Brown; her stepfather, Larry A. Brown; her beloved nana, Candelaria Lopez; her sister, Toni Capri-Otero; and her brother, Scott A. Brown (Scotty).

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her two daughters, Jessica L. Fregoso (Donald John) and Christina “Chris” M. Gonzales (Maricela). Laura also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Luvonte S. Fregoso and Kiayelah L. Fregoso, along with the joyful anticipation of welcoming a new addition to the family, baby John, due in March 2027, Laura also leaves behind a true confidant her ex-husband Fernando M. Fregoso, whom up until her passing stuck by her side to be sure she was fully comforted.

She is also survived by her brothers, Alfred Disharoon (Mariajose) and Lawrence M. “Matt” Brown, as well as many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love, and beautiful spirit.

Laura’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, laughter, and gentle presence will remain with us always. She will be missed beyond words and loved for eternity.
