Marian Irene Amoroso-Benedetto

Marian Amoroso-Benedetto, 71, passed away peacefully on 29 August 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Bergenfield, New Jersey, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be remembered for her kindness, cooking and devotion to helping anyone she could.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 47 years, Michael “Benny” Benedetto; sons, Michael (Chris), Louis (Lauren), and Anthony; as well as grandchildren, Raven, Emery, Landyn, Rocco, and Nora; in addition to siblings, Mary (Jim), Louis and Margaret (Rick).

She is predeceased by both parents Lou and Mary Amoroso, as well as her younger sister Nora and younger brother Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Pius X at a future time.

The family wishes to thank Lori and Michael Bryant, Bruce and Alyda Winter and Candace Macintosh for their care and compassion as well as TMC Hospice who provided amazing care for Marian towards the end of her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local food bank in Marian’s memory.
