Michelle Beth Detwiler was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on September 1, 1980, and lived a worldly childhood, moving around a lot. She was molded by living in New York, Florida, and even several years in Saudi Arabia. She spent the end of her coming of age in Tucson, Arizona. Her teenage years were spent roller skating with her friends, cruising down Speedway on Saturday nights, and working full-time while attending high school. Michelle graduated from Sahuaro High School in 1999. Right after graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and welcomed a son into the world, whom she loved very much.

She enjoyed time with friends, playing games, reading, music, dancing, and adventure! Most of her career was in collections and management. Years in administration and call centers led her to work for Stewart Lippman & Associates Inc. Over 16 years, she worked her way up to Manager of Consumer and Fidelity Department. She took her work seriously and was strongly committed to her job. These are all just superficial facts about life. Michelle was much deeper than that.

She was the definition of a good friend. Deeply loyal. Genuine, kind, honest, and true. She was someone you could feel safe being yourself around. There was no end she wouldn't go to for someone she loved. She was never afraid to tell you how it was, whether you liked it or not. Anyone close enough to her respected and appreciated her reality checks, even when unwelcome. Michelle was determined and a force to be reckoned with. A strong woman you wanted on your side. If she committed to something in her head & heart, there was no stopping her. Challenges in life most people would run from, she kept her chin up and showed the world what she was made of - truly inspiring! Accountable, dependable, and above all, sincere. Never backed down from a hard decision for the right reasons.

While she didn't show her love to just anyone, she loved deeply. The love you needed, not necessarily the love you wanted. Sometimes that love was a hug, sometimes that love was silence. If you knew her love, your world feels a void so vast and heavy that it feels like it will never be the same again. It won’t, but that love in time will transform into fond memories, remembrance, and inspiration.

Michelle was survived by her son, Anthony M. Detwiler of Denver, Colorado; mother, Kathleen M Duffy, also of Denver, Colorado; her sister, Annemarie Kerns, Tucson, Arizona. As well as Life Partner, Kyle Davis; his daughter, Sparrow, and pet parrot, AL of Tucson, Arizona.
