Rose Marie Gaylor, 88, of Tucson, Arizona, danced into eternity on August 20, 2025.
Born to Walter Vernon and Lena Isabel (Burlingame) Honts on August 22, 1936, in Danbury, Wisconsin. She was married to Curtis Del Gaylor in 1956 in Adel, Iowa. He passed away on January 9, 2019, in Tucson, Arizona.
Rose Marie was a true free spirit, never confined by convention or expectation. Her love for Jesus was precious to her. "He is always with me!", she'd say. Rose Marie was an excellent cook; from duck to fried fish, roasts, and the best cakes, pies, and rolls. There wasn't anything she couldn't make. She was also a gifted seamstress with a special talent for designing clothes and decorating homes.
She is survived by her children, Connie (Mark) Redmon Weintraub of Tucson, Arizona, Ron Gaylor of Bay City, Texas, and Cindy (Calvin) Argo of Wharton, Texas; grandchildren, Tammy (Duane), Jenny (Malcolm), Curtis, Matthew (Allison), and Douglas; 21 greatgrandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Ann Buskirk, and brothers, Fred Jr and Donnie Liljenberg; sister-in-law, Celeste Bernardo, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, and an infant son, Steven Curtis; grandsons, Danny Lee Redmon and Charles Joseph Argo; brothers, Danny, Robert, Raymond, Lester, John, and Mike; and sister, Darlene.
Rose Marie's legacy, like her life, was one of intensity and impact, and she will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
