Born on September 4, 1954, in Cullman, Alabama, Sheila grew up in Gardendale, where she graduated from Gardendale High School, laying the foundation for a life rich with love and family values.

On June 8, 1972, Sheila married her soulmate, Patrick Linn McCarty, in Birmingham, Alabama. Their enduring partnership of 53 years was characterized by unwavering love, mutual respect, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a beautiful family, rooted deeply in the heart of Alabama before expanding their horizons.

Sheila’s life was a testament to devotion and caring. She took immense pride in being a loving mother to her children, Melanie and Patrick McCarty. Her grandchildren, Leo Goldstein, Milo Goldstein, Jonah Goldstein, Ella McCarty, and Patrick McCarty, were the light of her life, and she embraced every moment spent with them.
