Tammy Marie Dutcher, a vibrant and compassionate woman whose life was marked by strength, love, and an unyielding spirit, passed away on April 14, 2026, just eight days shy of her 55th birthday. Born on April 22, 1971, Tammy embraced life with a charisma and warmth that drew people to her effortlessly.

Throughout her years, Tammy devoted much of her time to caring for others, a calling she found in her work as a nurse and home caregiver. For nearly a decade, she served under the company C.A.R.E., where her dedication and kindness left an indelible impact on those she tended to. Beyond her professional life, Tammy's heart extended to the animals she rescued and nurtured, actions she held dear as among her proudest accomplishments.

Tammy was a natural storyteller, blessed with a gift for painting vivid pictures with her words that captivated friends and family alike. Her infectious optimism and radiant smile were constants, no matter the challenges she faced. She battled through personal hardships, including overcoming addictions and fighting tirelessly to reunite with her children after losing custody. For Tammy, achieving that reunion was one of her greatest victories—a testament to her perseverance and unbreakable love.

Her youthful spirit was evident in her passions. She loved to dance and skate, often enchanting those around her with grace and joy on the rink. One of her daughter's fondest memories recalls going to skating rinks together, where strangers would approach Tammy asking if the young girl was her daughter. Tammy’s pride beamed as she claimed, “That’s my kid out there,” attributing her own skating skills to those she lovingly passed down. Music was another thread woven deeply into her life; long road trips were filled with singing along to the Beastie Boys. She had a amusing sporadic taste in music like some of her favorites were beastie boys, Evanescence, Black eyed peas, Loretta Lynn, nine inch nails, Queen, Fergie, Patsy Cline, Biggie smalls, kid rock and even  lil Kim. With music she  turned even the darkest days bright with laughter and song. Tammy had an ebullient love for games, delighting in playing board games bingo and casino trips. Most of all, she relished moments spent with her grandchildren—Marilynn Young, Madeleine Chamberlin, Anthony Ruiz, and Ian Chamberlin—transforming into a playful, big kid herself when in their company.

Tammy’s personality was a blend of strength and sensitivity. Charismatic and outgoing, she unapologetically embraced being the center of attention, lighting up every room she entered with her smile and presence. Despite her confidence, there was a tender side that made her deeply empathetic, never hesitating to support those in need. Her magnetic nature meant she knew a vast circle of friends and family, always eager to connect and converse. Tammy was never an introvert; she thrived on interaction, cherishing the bonds she cultivated throughout her life. She could converse with anyone. Once someone said " she can hold a conversation all by herself! Tammy doesn't need anyone to pin ball responses with; dinging back and forth with over a topic. She can hold a conversation all on her own,". She was just a natural storyteller and conversationalist.

Her life journey included educational pursuits where she initially aimed for a career in criminal justice long after graduating high school. However, her innate desire to care for others led her to the healthcare field, guiding her professional path forward.

Tammy’s legacy lives on in her loving daughters—Paige Dutcher, Keri Dutcher, and Brittney Stewart—and her loving devoted father Dennis Dutcher, as well as her brothers Michael Dutcher and Cary Teal. She was the cherished daughter of the late Jean Allison and granddaughter of Carol and William Selwitschka, who preceded her in death but remain forever in family memory.

Tammy’s indomitable spirit, her joy in life’s simple pleasures, and her unwavering commitment to family and community remain an inspiring testament to a life beautifully lived. While her loss leaves a profound void, her stories, laughter, and love will continue to light the way for all who were touched by her extraordinary presence.
